How to get to Koh Chang Island

By plane

There is a regular connection from Bangkok to the capital of the region - Tratu. The flight takes about 50 minutes. From there you need to get to the island as such.

By bus

It is rather simple to get to Koh Chang from Bangkok by bus.
You can choose from a public "big" bus that frequents line Bangkok - Trat (or alternatively Pattaya - Ban Pae) which takes about 5 hours and costs about 300 Bahts depending on the line and bus class,
and a "minibus" that is actually a comfortably suited van of private transportation companies. The price is higher, but you can agree on getting directly to your hotel.

By car

Journey to Ko Chang by car measures about 350 km, takes about 4.5 hours (ferry excluded) and you can choose from more routes. The fastest is Highway No. 3 leading from Bangna to Trat and timely turn to one of the ferry ports.

By ferry

Whether you use plane, car or bus you need to use one more mean of transportation to get to the Ko Chang Island - ferry.
Ferries depart from two ports - Ao Thammachat Ferry Pier and Centre Point Ferry - every 30 to 60 minutes. Price for a single ticket is approx. 100 Bahts. After disembarking you can go to find your resort or hotel (if you go by car or minibus). If you go by foot, you can hire a local taxi.
